Another Walk In The Forest

I went again, on an expedition,
Into a deep, dark forest,
With long, twisting tracks,
And tall drunken trunks.

This time though,
The silence was sonorous,
The dark was amorous,
And the trees were rapturous.

For the nonce,
The water was serenading,
The air was dancing,
And the peacocks, they were prancing.

As the world went by,
And the time flew by,
The soiree went on
For me, the only privileged patron.

The First Date

There were no roses, no drinks,
Neither were there any chocolates,
Nor any balloons and sparkly gifts,
There were just you and me,

Under the velvet night sky,
With the serenading trees,
And the whispering wind.
The time like river slipped by,

As we talked the night away,
The stars bore witness to our promenade.
The hands barely brushed,
But the souls got entangled that day,

In the eons old dance of the universe,
Twirling and swirling, all night long.
The dawn came,
And the hands barely brushed,
But the souls got entangled, forever.

Caged Rose

She bloomed in a fenced garden,
Walled on one side,
Fenced on the other.
Rooted deep into the soil,

She bloomed in a fenced garden,
Surrounded by shadows,
Of big dense bushes.
With the colour of virgin's blushes,

She bloomed in a fenced garden,
A beauty in her prime.
Unfurling her petals, inviting the forlorn spirits,
To share their sorrows,

She bloomed in a fenced garden.
The sweet ambrosia, the captivating aroma,
Brought the world,
To the fence trapping her.

A Father's Kiss

Time is not stopping,
And neither are the new memories.
They are settling, layer by layer, each layer,
Burying the old ones deeper and deeper.

Everyday a new memory blooms,
On the fertile soil of my soul.
Reminding me, the autumn has gone,
And a new spring sun has shone.

In this spring afternoon,
I see the golden rays kissing,
The soft petals of the blooms,
And my heart gives a sad flutter.

For in that flicker of a second,
I felt a familiar warmth,
Of a father's kiss,
Now lost in the time's abyss.
