I went again, on an expedition,
Into a deep, dark forest,
With long, twisting tracks,
And tall drunken trunks.
This time though,
The silence was sonorous,
The dark was amorous,
And the trees were rapturous.
For the nonce,
The water was serenading,
The air was dancing,
And the peacocks, they were prancing.
As the world went by,
And the time flew by,
The soiree went on
For me, the only privileged patron.
